WE GOT HACKED!!!!!

PROBLEM:-

VidhyashalaAcademy.com (a site built for a client couple of years ago)  was compromised and replaced with a blank page.

 

The wp-admin redirected us to yogasana website.


THE REASON:- This might have happened as we did not have an SSL Certificate.


SOLUTION:-

(This solution Worked for us, might or might not work for you as viruses are pretty complex)

Step 1:- 

Scan for viruses using the c-panel virus removal tool and remove any detected viruses.






                    This should stop redirecting your site but might Ask you to a fresh install, Solution in Step2 ).

Step 2:- 

Most Hosting Sevices Auto Backup Lot of data and can be Found in C-Panel under Backups

Go there and click on the restore button besides download wp-content.php in /wp-admin

If Like us you don't get a restore button You Will have to download the  "/wp-admin/wp-content.php"

file and manually replace it with this old version from the File Manager in Your C-Panel.


NOTE:- IF LIKE US EVEN YOU DONT HAVE AN SSL CERTIFICATE FOR YOUR WEBSITE, PLEASE GET ONE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
